It’s almost winter, folks! That means we’ll all be cold for the next few months as we work through another Wyoming winter.
But beyond being cold all the time, winter poses a few challenges for homeowners (and renters, too!) for keeping utility bills down.
In this week’s Let’s Get Real With Real Estate, I joined Olivia Prince for a quick discussion of a few things that homeowners and renters can do to stay warm this winter without seeing their utility bills skyrocket. Check it out in the video below:
As we discuss in the video, it’s super simple to prepare your home for the winter. Even just opening the blinds and letting the sun’s rays fill a room can make it feel warmer and more comfortable. At the same time, closing the blinds and curtains once the sun goes down can help keep the warmth from your heating system in and the cold from the outside out!
You can also adjust your thermostat to the time of day, that way when you’re away at work, the house can be a little cooler – which saves you money – and it can begin to warm up again before you get home. Sealing up leaky windows and doors can also work wonders for keeping your home a little warmer, too.
These are just a few winter tips to help you stay warm. Be sure to check out the complete video for more tidbits!
